In 2004 the PrivateMax opened in the Atlantic Kempinski in Hamburg. In cooperation with the rockstar Udo Lindenberg and Bowers & Wilkins the first private cinema in a deluxe hotel was born. There is no way to screen a film or to conduct a presentation more exclusively.
The 34 sq m room possesses a capacity for 8 visitors. There is a large choice of DVDs available but you are also welcome to screen your own materials. The PrivateMax is booked for sport events as the World Cup often. Moreover there is the possibility to plug in games consoles. Several players compete on the big screen at the same time.
The cinema has a perfect sound due to the digital multi-channel audio formats DVD-Audio and SACD. Really exciting is the use of the “body shakers” that let the chairs vibrate.
Business clients appreciate the modern technology to use the various multimedia applications.
Hotel guests and private clients pay 100 Euro for a screening with up to four or 150 Euro with up to eight persons. Business clients can book the cinema for a half day for 250 Euro and for a whole day for 450 Euro.
