It is very interesting that the wine-cellar of the Landhaus Scherrer has historically grown. It has been expanded over the years as soon as a potential good wine has been found.
When the wine-cellar was built more than 30 years ago it was important for the Scherrer family that the wine-cellar is accessible – therefore the basic principle for a special location was established at an early time.

For connoisseurs the wine-cellar at the Landhaus Scherrer is the ideal location to welcome some guests in a small group. Before you sit down at table you can discover the wine-cellar together with our sommeliers, take an appetizer and taste different wines.

Tasting in the wine-cellar

Nothing is closer than the idea to arrange a tasting in an accessible wine-cellar. Every year steady groups meet for special events at the Landhaus Scherrer to taste different wines, preferably old Bordeaux. Our good wines made some connoisseurs inwardly smile.

If you are a small group of connoisseurs you can speak with the sommelier at the Landhaus Scherrer. Together with you he will find out which region, grapes and vintages are interesting for you.
The special highlights of our wine-tasting are the so-called ‘pirates’. That means the wines are not presented before tasting – you have to identify them with their flavour. The most tasteful of all special locations looks forward to your visit.
